Last week we had to research The Great Pacific Garbage Patch and this week we had to put that information in a newsletter. I liked this because I learnt what The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is and what it does to the environment.
The Great Pacific Garbage Patch
The Great Pacific Garbage Patch which is GPGP. The GPGP is estimated surface of 1.6 million square kilometres, that's like three times of France. The GPGP is halfway between Hawaii and California. The GPGP was only discovered in 1993. GPGP is full of waste/rubbish.
What does it do to animals?
Have you ever thought about what the plastic does to the animals? When the plastic goes into the ocean, the animals think it is food. Turtles think that plastic bag a jellyfish so they eat it then they get sick and sadly die. 
What is in the GPGP?
In the GPGP there is soo much plastic in it. It has big and little pieces of plastic. Because of all the plastic it is forming an island.

ReplyDeleteThanks Miss Farr for liking my post. I tried really hard to make a good newsletter. We could teach other people how to be using less plastic but first we need to do that in our lunches. Use less plastic and rubbish in our class also in our lunch boxes.

DeleteTake some stuff done from the class then think of a why to reuse it or maybe we could make it into a art piece about plastic.
