Beneifits of Exercise

 

Hi These are the reasons why excersie is good.

That was my caption that I did write. I write such a bad caption because this was actually a timing post. Our class and Taiao (the older kid class) ran the 4Js (a track to a shop and back) then when we all got back we had 25 minutes to research, make and post on our blog about fitness. I fixed it but the title used to be Benfits of Exercise. I spelled it wrong. I enjoyed this because I found out a lot of cool facts like if you do exercise then that makes you sleep better. This was difficult because I was pressured by the time limit.  Maybe next time I could write a better caption. Eden (My friend) and I think Grace (someone from Taiao) both won, The teachers (Miss Read and Miss Farr) could not decide. They got 2 little blues and house points. A little blue is something you get if you did amazing work or showed the 4cs. Connected, Confident, Creative and Caring.

Tokelau Coconut Oil - Katelyn Podcast

We are still learning about energy at school. This is another one of the activities. We had to make a DLO about how Tokelau makes their energy. We had to read two articles and one of them was about Tokelau. A DLO stands for Digital Learning Object, so something that is on your Chromebook. I choose to do a podcast because I have never done one before. It was actually really easy because then I did not have to worry about what I look like. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to try and learn something different. This was difficult because I had to end up having no music because then you could not hear me but that is fine.

Persausive Writing - Postie Plus

 Dear Grey Districted Council,

My name is Katelyn and I think that Greymouth needs a Postie Plus because then we can have more quality clothes. It can be at the place where the old Postie Plus was. Posties Plus has a lot of sizes, make people happy and lots of sales.

Postie Plus has a lot of different sizes. They have women's, men's and kids. They try to have all sorts of different styles in a lot of different sizes so everyone can express themselves with their clothing. Postie Plus will allow you to return clothing if it is not the right size then they will probably have your right size.

A lot of people were really sad that Postie Plus shut down. Then if you open a new Postie Plus is here then it will make lots of people happy and surprised. Postie Plus waves friendly and will serve you wonderfully.

Postie Plus has lots of sales all of the time. They have a lot more stock than other stores. A kid's flannel PJ has been from $20 dollars to $10 dollars. The clothes are 36 percent cheaper than last year. From $12 dollars to $6 dollars. 

That is the end of me explaining why we should get a Postie Plus in Greymouth. I hope you consider my letter to you. And we have to go all the way to Hokitika to go to a Postie Plus.

Hello, Kia Ora, Bonjour!

In class, we have been learning to write persuasive writing. We practiced by writing a fake letter to Trish (The PTA Leader) about getting a rock climbing wall. We got to choose what we wanted to write about. I choose to write a letter to the Grey District Council about having a new Postie Plus here in Greymouth. I like to go to clothes shops and Postie Plus is one of the shops that we go to. I enjoyed this activity because I like to write persuasive writing. It was difficult to find benefits about Postie Plus because the links kept on taking me to the shop to buy clothes. But I found some facts.

Adding and Subtracting Video - Katelyn Class

 

Kia Ora Tangata Katoa! Hello everyone! Bonjour tout le monde! 

Kei te pehea koe? How are you going? Comment ça va?

This is one of our activities for maths that we do in class. We had to learn how to add and subtract decimals, then make a video to teach others. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun because I never really knew how to add and subtract decimals but now I do. It was difficult because I did not know that you are not meant to say 89 I thought it was eighty-nine but it is actually eight nine.

Literacy - Brainstorm

 

Kia ora Everyone!
This is another reading activity for literacy. We had to answer these two questions. How do wind and sun affect your daily life and what activities do you do engage the energy of the sun and wind. Then we watched a video as a class and made a brainstorm as a class. The teacher told us to put the things that we writ in the brainstrm to this activity. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to find out a few more things about wind and sun that I did not know from my other classmates.

Kia ora everyone!
This activity is when you had to watch a video about potential and kinetic energy. We watched it as a class but I watched it again because I did not understand it. We had to answer these 4 questions about potential and kinetic energy. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to make notes in my book and to take the picture. I made a picture because I could not find a picture that I was allowed to use. This was difficult because I did not really get it but after a while it was starting to make sense.
