Double Entry Journal - literacy medals

WALT: Make connections in reading.
We read the story then we put down what our connections were with the story.
I liked it because it reminded me about when I did soccer and I loved it.

Week 5 Reflecion

What I have learnt this week: I have learnt how to edit on Wevideo. 

What I found hard this week: I found hard to make connections for literacy meals this week.

What I have enjoyed this: I enjoyed doing spelling homework because now I am on the essential spelling list 1.  I am on essential spelling list 1 because I got all of the words right. I can't wait for next week. I had fun editing our film on Wevideo.

What I think I need to work on next week: Not to be so hybrid all the time because I get too crazy so I will take deep breaths.

Rectangles Week 5 maths medals

This week w are learning to solve problems using standard written form. I liked this activity because I really like doing maths and working out questions. My group and I, we had to use our one's column, our tens column, our hundreds column and sometimes our thousands column.

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP)

Last week we had to research The Great Pacific Garbage Patch and this week we had to put that information in a newsletter. I liked this because I  learnt what The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is and what it does to the environment. 

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch 

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch which is GPGP. The GPGP is estimated surface of 1.6 million square kilometres, that's like three times of France. The GPGP is halfway between Hawaii and California. The GPGP was only discovered in 1993. GPGP is full of waste/rubbish. 

What does it do to animals?

Have you ever thought about what the plastic does to the animals? When the plastic goes into the ocean, the animals think it is food. Turtles think that plastic bag a jellyfish so they eat it then they get sick and sadly die. 

What is in the GPGP?

In the GPGP there is soo much plastic in it. It has big and little pieces of plastic. Because of all the plastic it is forming an island.

Even though it is term 3 and the homework was for term two, I still want to do some homework because I like to learn. This post is about what you can use instead of plastic. What I liked about this activity (this activity I did at home) is that I got to learn some ways what to use instead of plastic.

I liked this because I learnt how to edit on Wevideo and it was funny because we said the wrong thing.
My group and I, we had to film different angles and put them all together on wevideo.

literacy medals - Questioning

WALT ask questions
I liked this activity because it was fun to ask questions.
we had to do I Wonder questions witch mean what I wonder about the story.
Then we had to do Thick and Thin questions. Thick questions mean Why What and How questions.
Thin questions are When Who Where.

Week two - literacy medals - Predicting

WALT Predict
My group and I learnt how to predict. The story is called Cancel the Invasion. My opinion about this activity is that it was hard to predict what might happen in the story. We had to use the Y chart. the Y chart is when you think what happens in the before during and after the story.
