Word of the week - Week 4 - Term 1

This week Miss Farr choose humble. I think she chooses the word humble because it is in our learning principles. The thing I struggle with was what the word means.  I enjoyed this activity because it was fun finding a picture. The thing that was the hardest for me was trying to explain what it actually means.
The learning principles are:
1. Respect others and their cultures and beliefs.
2. Don't prompt others, give them time.
3. Only answer questions directed to you.
4. Be humble.

Word of week - week 3

This is my word of the week for WEEK 3!
The word Miss Farr (my teacher) picked is... horizon.
It was really hard to find an antonym for horizon so I have just written the truth about ho I can not find an antonym.
Enjoy :)

First ever number of the week of 2020

Hi, This is my first ever blog post that is maths involved. Miss Farr (my teacher) asked Emma what number and Emma choose number 3. We have to do all of this maths stuff with just the coosin number.
I will do one of these number of the week every week.
Enjoy.

Summer Learning Journey - activity 3 - day 2

At school, we had a talent show in 2019, and I went into the talent show. Guess what I did, (put down in the comments below of what you thought I did)

I did...
singing! It was REALLY fun and there were 2 heats and the winners. The first heat was the auditions, the second heat (if you made the auditions) was in front of the whole school, then the judge's will decide who won the hole then. Lot's of people won. (because of the ages) I sadly did not win but I went into the second heat. That means I SANG IN FRONT of the WHOLE SCHOOL! It was really cool.

Questions:
Have you ever been in a talent show?
Do you get scared in front of a big crowd?

Word of the week. (First word of the week of 2020!)

Hi, are you excited for 2020! This week the word Miss Farr choose was sovereignty. Miss Farr choose it because as you know (maybe) it was Waitangi day on Thursday, Miss Farr read the class and I a book about Waitangi day. In the book, it had the word sovereignty.

The Tree Hut Treaty

Today My teacher (Miss Farr) read the class and I a book called The Tree Hut Treaty.
Then she made this slide on the class site for us to fill in. She split us into groups to help each other with this activity, My group was emma (https://paroagreyemmabl.blogspot.com/) and
Kalani.  (http://paroagreykalanin.blogspot.com/) I think we all worked well together as a group. After the whole class was finished this activity we all came down to the mat and we made a class treaty.
