Reflection - Week 8

What I have enjoyed this week: I have enjoyed playing the Māori chair game. The Māori chair game is when someone says Mua (in front)  Raro (under) Muri (behind) Waho (outside) Roto (inside) Runga (on top)

What I have learnt this week: I have learned how to peel an apple because I had to peel the apple for when we made fruit kebabs.

What I have found difficult: Spelling my words because I have really hard words to spell.

What I need to work on next week: Drawing people on the computer with a polyline.

Making a sign for the bins - We got rid of the bins

We got rid of the bins because of the rubbish inside of them and because we are an Enviroschool and we don't want more rubbish in our school. We made a sign that said, We are an Enviroschool. Please take your rubbish HOME!!! I liked this activity because I got to write the words and draw spirals. I worked with Meka and Slade. I hope you like our sign. I hope people will take their rubbish home.

Ko wai ingoa?

For Māori lungage week we are forgetting our introduction in Māori. So Miss Farr made us write it down so we don't forget again. I Enjoyed this because I got to draw using the polyline. I will finish it later because I don't have pictures of my mum, my dad and my mum's mum.

Kepapa Huarākau- Fruit Kebabs

For Māori language week, we have read some Māori storeys. And the story we read is called Kepapa Huarākau. In the story, there is two people making fruit kebabs. We used the restrpie to make our own. Here are the instructions to make fruit kebabs.

Māori: Reka ngā kapapa huarākau. Anei ngā tohutohu. Tuatahi, horoia ngā kerepe. Tuarua, tīhoretia ngā huakiwi... ....ngā panana,me ngā ārani. Tuatoru, tapahia ngā huarākau kia iti. Tuawhā, werohia ngāhuarakau me ngā rare kōpungapunga. Tino reka ngā kapapa.

English: Fruit kebabs are delicious. This is how you make them. First, wash the grapes. Second, peel the apples, kiwifruit.... ... bananas, and oranges. Third, cut the fruit into small pieces. Fourth, put the fruit and the marshmallows on the sticks. The kababs are really delicious.

Here are some pictures when we were making them.
