Stuff that I have not posted yet this year

This is the Curious Fish animation.

Kia Ora, Hello, Bonjour! How are you? I hope you are doing amazing.

This year (2021) I have not posted some of my work, so I have made this slide show so I can still show the work I have created over the past year. There are different reasons why I have not posted this stuff this year already. It could be because I forgot, I didn't have time or other reasons. I have counted the things I have not posted and put them into the slide show. This was fun to do because I still got to show my work. This was difficult because I was trying to find things but it was manageable with the ones I found.

Hope you enjoyed :)

Stick Figure Art - Animation - Picture

Kia Ora, Hello,Bonjour! How are you? Are you excited for next year (2022)?

This is another SLJ (Summer Learning Journey) activity. It is called Stick Figure Fun. I was scrolling though the SLJ activity site, then I saw this activity and it looked quite fun. First, we had to draw stick figures on a piece of paper doing different things then take a picture using a phone or on your webcam on the Chromebook. I took the picture on my Chromebook. I drew stick figures waving, jumping, Swimming, Baking/Cooking, Basketball and Drawing. If you look closely at what the stick figure is drawing, you can see that it is also drawing a stick figure. After we did that we had to make a slide show of your animation about your stick figures activities. I choose to use the waving one, basketball one, jumping and Baking/Cooking. I enjoyed making this lots because I like doing art (     I am not that good at it though :)    ).
Making the slide show animation was a bit tricky but it was still fun. You should try this out.

Hope you enjoyed :)

How to make a boat - Summer Learning Journey

This is a picture of the ship.

Hello, Bonjour, Kia Ora. How are you? Hope you are amazing!

This is another Summer Learning Journey activity. This is the second Nanogirl challenge. We had to try and make a ship/something that floats. I watched the other video that Nanogirl recommend us to watch as well and it helped a lot with the sail/flag. I did not know how to do it but now I know. You get a piece of paper and fold it but not press hard down on it and make a hole through each side with a pencil/pen or scissors (Have adult supervision). I enjoyed this activity a lot because I like to make different things in my spare time. This activity taught me a lot because it was a bit windy so the pencil and paper kept on not sticking but I managed to do it.

Hope you enjoyed :)

Learn a MAGIC TRICK by watching this video!

Kia Ora, Hello, Bonjour! How are you? Hope you're doing amazing during the summer or winter break. (depending on where you live).

This is a Summer Learning Journey activity for the 16th of December even though I am doing it on the 17th. I was so excited to see this on the Summer Learning Journey blog because magic looks so interesting to learn. I did the step it up activity. We had to watch an instructions video on what to do with this slide that we got to put our video in. Then it said that we have to watch this video of someone teaching us magic card tricks. There were three in total and we got to pick one. I choose to do the one that she explains in the middle. I choose it because I didn't want to get salt or crumbs everywhere and the other trick looked like it was going to take too long to record a video to teach. I used Screencastify to record my video and the limit amount on filming time is five/5 minutes. I enjoyed this activity so much because I showed my family and they were confused. This was difficult because I couldn't remember what side was supposed to be flipped on. The right or left side.

I hope you enjoyed :)

Summer Learning Journey - Day 1 activity - Ring Glider

This is the first video to watch.

This is the second video to watch.

Kia Ora, Bonjour Hello! How are you? Hope you are doing amazing.

This is the first Summer Learning Journey activity. This activity was actually for yesterday but I didn't finish it. I tried making a ring glider yesterday with goose paper (spare paper) so I can know how to do it without wasting expensive paper. The two colours I choose to do were yellow and orange because it reminded me of summer! I choose to do a ring glider because I have never made one before and it looked interesting to make. Today I decided to make a video, teaching other people how to make a ring glider. I found out that if you point the little ring first and the big ring behind then it goes faster than the other way. I enjoyed this activity a lot because I go to make something that can fly out of Paper and we also got to make a video teaching others. This was difficult because I was using Screencastify instead of We video. Screencastify had a limit of 5 minutes recording so that is why I have two videos.
I hope this video and blog post can teach you how to make something you didn't know existed. (I know I sure did!)

I hope you enjoyed :)

Day 1/activity 1 (What we would take on a three day trip) Day2/activity 2 (About ourselfs and our culture)

Kia Ora, Bonjour and Hello. How are you hope you are amazing.

This blog post is a summer learning Journey activity. We did this yesterday but I didn't realize that we had to post it on our blog. We had to think about the food that we would take with us on a three-week trip in a canoe. Takutai came to our class because Takutai was learning how to blog post. We registered a buddy that we choose and I choose Alyssa. I enjoyed this because it was fun to think about the food we can bring. This was difficult because we had to think about what could actually last in three weeks.

Hope you enjoyed :)

Today we have done another Summer Learning Journey activity. Takutai came to our class again today. Before we did the activity we had to choose our buddies and Miss Farr (our teacher) explained the activity we were doing today. The buddy I choose was Asha. We decided to right our cultures on google slides, she had her own slide and I had my own as well. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to learn that my last name actually comes from Scotland. This was difficult because I couldn't find that many pictures of my family.

Hope you enjoyed :)
