Energy Word Map - Negative Feedback Loops

 

Hello everyone!
In class, we have been learning about energy. I am in the Kiwi group and we are reading a book called feedback. Once we have read a bit of the story, Miss Farr (My Teacher) said that we had to make two other energy word maps. One about Negative Feedback loops and one about positive feedback loops. We got to do anyone first then the other one next. I choose to do the negative feedback loop first, I do not have a reason why. I found this activity difficult because I could not find any cold pictures that were available so I had to make it but that is fine. I enjoyed taking notes and reading the book because I like doing it.

Energy Word Map - Solar and Global Warming

 Kia ora everyone!

In class, we are learning about energy for this year. One of the tasks is an energy word map. Next to the goggle drawing, there is a word bank of different energy words. You can pick 1 - 3 words. I choose to do Solar and Global Warming. I enjoyed this because it was fun to make pictures and take notes from websites for information. It was difficult to find information because there was not a lot of information I could find.

Energy - Compare and Contrast chart

 

This term we are learning about energy. For this activity, we had to read two articles about energy. Then write down what is different about them. If both of the articles have the same thing then you put it in the middle. I enjoyed this activity because I like to read. I found this activity difficult because there was not that much information that I could find.

Pool Of Knowledge - Reflection

 

In class, we had to get in your house groups (my house group is yellow) and make a pool of knowledge about what we know about energy. Then we had to make a reflection about what we know, about what we learnt and about what questions we have about energy. I enjoyed doing this activity because it was fun to work as a group and share it with the class. It was hard because I do not know that much about energy.

What Now - EK News

 

My class did a quiz. Miss Farr (my teacher) said that we had to make something about how What Now had their 40th year anniversary lately. Eden and I choose to do another Ek News video. I enjoyed making this video with Eden because it was fun and funny because we are friends. It was difficult because we kept on messing up.

Persausive Writing - Is living in the giant city more lonely then living in the middle of nowhere

 Living in the middle of nowhere is more lonely because then you can't talk to anyone but living in a giant city would be lots of possibilities to make friends. If you live in the middle of nowhere then you can't make new friends because no one is around. You can't stop someone's car if they are driving because you could die if they run you over. That is the reason why living in the middle of nowhere is more lonely.

WALT: Write a persuasive paragraph.
We had to choose a topic about something to write about that is persuasive. I enjoyed this because I like to persuade people. It was difficult because I choose a hard topic.

Maths - Circles

 

In class, we have been learning about circles. for the past two days, we have been looking at the circumference, radius and diameter. Miss Farr (My Teacher) said that we have to measure circles that we can find around the room. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to find circles then measure them. It was difficult because I don't really understand how you get the radius and diameter. I just did half of the circumference for the diameter than half of the diameter for the radius. Eden and I measured the same circle but we got the same answer.
