Mascots Game - All-New Board Game - Anzac - First World War Mascots

 

Hello! Bonjour! Kia Ora! How are all of you doing, I hope you are having a beautiful day.
This is the LAST activity for this whole Anzac stuff. The book I read is called. First World War Mascots. I was feeling a bit like I wanted to make something. So I went down to the create subject. I looked to see what was there. I saw a board game one. It said to make an all-new board game so I made Mascots Games. I could not get any pictures so that is why there is none. I made all of the numbers first then but cardboard underneath. I made the how to play and how many people you need and that you need a dice. I was going to use a bag for the dice and counters but then I was like, no I will be a box. I write some information on the game that I learned from the book. I enjoyed this activity because I like to make things. This was difficult because I could not find a dice or any spare counters so I made them instead. I tested out the dice to see if it actually works, it does. My Dad and I played the board game after I finished it. Dad won, I asked if we can play again but he said he did not want to because he wanted to be the ultimate champion.

Emotions - First World War Mascots - Anzac

 

Hi everyone! Bonjour! Kia Ora! I hope you are all having a a wonderful day!
This is another activity for anzac. The book I am reading is First World War Mascots. It is a really good book, you should try reading it sometime. Here is the link. It is on my class site for my class and I. If you just scroll down a bit until you get to the anzac reading books. I went to the doc where all of the activitys are. I scearched and screached until I found one. I Choose the emotion one. If you have finished reading the book then you can do the 3 activities. This is my second activity, I have one more activty then I will be finished for this whole anzac stuff. This activity is when you have to make something to tell someone what emotions you had while reading the book. My book is about animals. I choose Happy and Sad. I think you were only meant to do one emotion but I could not decide between happy or sad so I choose both. If you go up a bit you will see why I felt these emotions. I enjoyed this activity because I like to make stuff with paper a lot. This was difficult because I tried happy but then I messed it up with the wrong colours so I did it again.

Animal Mascots Sounds - Anzac

Hi Everyone! Kia ora! Bonjour!

This is another activty for anzac. I am now reading a diffierent book called, First World War Mascots. The activity I choose was to say the sound that the charcters are in the story. It was easy for me because this book is all about animals so I just made animal noises insead of diffierent noises for different types of people. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to make a video, I like to make videos and edit them. I found this difficult because the picture kep on having a error when I was trying to show th epicture in the video.

5 words I did not understand - The Maori Pioneer Battalion - Anzac

Hi everyone! Kia Ora! Bonjour!
This is another activity for anzac. This activity is when you have to write 5 - 10 words that you found difficult in the book you are reading. I am reading The Maori Pioneer Battalion, this is the second activity that I have done so far. (Well actually it is kind of the third because Miss Farr said that we had to make something about the 28th Maori Battalion.) (Miss Farr is my teacher) I made a slide show because I thought that I have not made a slide show in ages. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to learn words that I did not really understand. This was difficult because sometimes I could not find antonyms for some words.

How are you? I hope you are all having an amazing day today!

This is another activity for Anzac. This activity is when you make a book mark. I choose this because I wanted to make something to mark where I am up to on my book but still do an activity for anzac. At the start I thought that it would be hard to do this with the book I read because I am reading 28th maori Battalion. I could only find black and white pictures of people, but then I found a picture that said 28th maori Battalion. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun and easy. It did not take that long. This was difficult because I drew it in black were is says maori battalion because that is what it looked like, but you could not see the writing so I got a piece of paper the same size and just wrote it in black.

Cross word - The maroi pioneer battalion - Anzac

 

Hello! Bonjour! Kia Ora!

This is a anzac activity that I choose to do. I am up to my second book now so I am not doing Torty the Lucky Tortotise anymore I am doing The Maori Pioneer Battalion. The 28th maori battalion is a war that happened years ago. The activity I choose was a cross word puzzle. Cross word puzzles are when you have clues to what the word that are in the squares. There is a across and down. I choose to do four words. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to think of the clues becuase I like making a doing clue trails. This was difficult because I could not think of words and the numbers weren't going the way I wanted them to. I did not know if you could do a sentence because I writ a____________man. The number for that is 4. Maybe next time I could add more words. You can draw this on a piece of paper and try it yourself!

After doing DEAR (Drop Everying And Read) Miss Farr (my teacher) called us done to the mat. She read us a book called The maori pioneer battalion. She said that we had to make something that can teach someone about the 28th māori battalion. I choose to do a google drawing, podcast and video to teach it to someone. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to make the video and podcast. Torty the luckly tortosie

 

Hi Everyone, Kia Ora Tātau

This is another activity for anzac. This activity is to make a new book cover for the book you are reading. I am doing Torty the lucky Tortosie for now. This is the third activity that I have done so far. I could not find a pciture of Torty so I used the one that I drew. I choose to write that it is by David Chadwick. The story is but I made the cover. I enjoyed this activity because it was easy and fun to move the colors around. This was difficult because as I told you I could not find a picture of Torty, but that is fine, I compromised.

Maths slide - WALT: Add and subtract larger numbers

Hi, Kia Ora, Bonjour!

One of the activities for maths is work with the teacher (Miss Farr) with your group. It was my groups and I turn. My Group is called Circles. After working with the teacher Miss Farr told us to fill out this slide. We had to ansewer these 6 questions. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to learn about how to add if differently. At the start of the lesson I thought that we had to write it in a simpler form. This was difficult because  did not understand it but now I know how to do this after I did this slide. I added a slide at the end that says, Hope you enjoyed!

This is an activity that Miss Farr (My Teacher) said that we have to make a kenning poem. A kenning Poem is a poem that has 5 lines with noun then a verb. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to do a poem, we don't useally do poems. This was diffiuclt because I could not really think of much things. You have to guess what my poem is about in the comments below, can you guess it?

Torty the lucky Tortosie - Draw and Explain

 

Hello Everyone!
This is another activty for anzac. This book is called Torty the lucky Tortise. The activity I choose was to draw and explain an animal that is in the story. Torty is the whole point of the book so I thought it would be good. I drew a picture then I wrote down some facts. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to draw. This was difficult because it was hard to write a lot of facts. It also took me a long time to do.

Torty the lucky Tortoise - Word map

 

Hi, Bonjour, Kia ora
Miss Farr (my Teacher) made this thing for us to do. We have to lisen or/and read this article. There is a podcast attched to the artcile. I listened and read along with the article. I read, Torty the lucky Tortosie. This book is about a tortosie and that someone named Stewart found him crossing a track and torty got ran over but he servived, he got to cracks in his shell. Stewart kept him. We have to do 3 different activities per text. We have to read 3 books. So that is 9 activites all in total. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to think of words, it was just fun in genuarll. This was difficult because some letters were too far away or too close.

Brainstorm Of Volcanoes

 

Today my class is going to athletics. Miss Farr (my teacher) is doing discuss so she is not here either so the rest of the class htat did not make it in athletics, has to be split up. I am in Taiao. Taiao is the class next to Whenua. (Whenua is my class) Miss Farr sent us activities to do when we are split today. One of the activies was for reading, we had to make a brainstorm about what we know about volcanoes with 2 people or 3. I worked with Elise. Miss Farr gave us a set of question that she said we could answer if we wanted to. I choose to but Elise did not. (that is fine that she did not because it was optional) I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to work with Elise. I would never really work with Elise in class but I might have a different thoughts about who I work with next time. This was difficult because I do not really know that much about volcanoes but I am happy that Miss Farr told us to.

Blog Contract - My Pets

 Hi everyone! Kia Ora Everyone!
This is an activity on the blog contract that I choose to do. A blog contract is when you want to do something but you have finished all your work or if you are chilling at home then you can do the blog contract. You make something about the question or thing you choose to write about into anything. I choose to do a google drawing. I choose to do one about my pets. I have one dog called Max. I enjoyed this activity because I like writing about how amazing he is. This was not that difficult.

Podcast Map of Paroa School - Katelyn Podcast

 

Kia Ora Everyone!

This is another activity for energy. We had to make a model of our school. (Paroa School) I choose to do it in cardboard. I have labeled everything if you can not see it that well. I have also made a podcast explaining what facts are on this and where we could put solar panels. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun to make the model, researching and making a podcast. So I basically liked the whole process. It was difficult because I had to move all of the solar panels because I had the solar panels all over the school but then Miss Farr (our teacher) said that it would be best if all of the solar panels were in one place in the school. When I was taking it off, since I had tape over the paper then it kept on riping.
